Tennessee Bun Company, the first member of The Bun Companies family, was founded in 1996 by former McDonald’s owner/operator Cordia Harrington. With the finest minds and the most current technologies in the baking business, TBC was built to be the fastest high-speed bakery in the world, with an output of over 1,000 buns per minute.

In 1999, Harrington purchased a building in Nashville as a packaging facility to handle the fast growth at Tennessee Bun Company, called Nashville Bun Company. Also in 1999, Harrington purchased a tractor-trailer and began Bun Lady Transport to improve the unreliable service she received from third-party transportation providers. Today, this shuttle service has become a full-service transportation company, covering more than 40 states and traveling over three million miles each year. And the packaging facility at Nashville Bun Company has transformed into a full-service bakery with both an English muffin and a hearth line, selling more than seven million dozen products each year.

In 2005 the opportunity arose to purchase a cold storage facility in Nashville. Seeing this as a chance to expand the bakeries’ efficiency, Harrington founded Cold Storage of Nashville, which services several nationally-known food companies in addition to Tennessee and Nashville Bun Companies.

The newest member of The Bun Companies family is CornerStone Baking Company. Founded in 2007, CBC produces frozen dough pieces for several well-known casual dining restaurants.
