Nashville Bun Company was established in 1999. Although it began as a packaging facility for Tennessee Bun Company, NBC has since added two bakery lines: an English muffin and a hearth line. The hearth line, which was added in 2005, is capable of producing a wide variety of artisan-style breads, while the English muffin line produces muffins of all flavors and sizes, including mini-muffins and larger sizes. A biscuit line was added in 2009, producing two sizes of biscuits. Both lines employ a metal detector and Dipix machine to meet The Bun Companies’ exacting quality standards.
